Martin Weiss to present at DINS Speaker Series

Martin Weiss, Professor in DINS, will discuss "SpectrumX -- A Spectrum Innovation Center" at the first DINS Speakers Series event of the 2021-22 Academic Year. Fill out this form to receive the Zoom event information. Weiss, who serves as the Economics and Policy Research Working Group Lead and Project Team Lead for SpectrumX, will describe the goals, aspirations and organization of SpectrumX as well as the process of completing the proposal that led to a $25 million grant from the National Science Foundation to support the project. 

SpectrumX is an NSF Innovation Center dedicated to conducting “strategic research and workforce development projects to transform spectrum management.” It will bring together spectrum experts from government agencies, research laboratories, industry, regulatory bodies, international organizations, and academia to develop policy and technical contributions to spectrum research, education, collaboration, and management. The formal announcement of SpectrumX and the NSF funding of this landmark project was made public on September 14, 2021.
