DINS makes an annual award to a graduating BSIS student who exemplifies accomplishment in IS studies, participates keenly in the intellectual life of SIS, works well with peers to master skills and share concepts, and becomes a peer role model of noted value to the BSIS program.
Ida Flynn was founder and director of the BSIS program and has been recognized for her textbook on operating systems - the 2001 Textbook Award from the Text and Academic Authors Association.
