DINS Faculty, Alumna To Lead CSCW 2024

Rosta Farzan, DINS faculty member, and Claudia Lopez, a graduate of the PhD in Information Science program, are serving as the general co-Chairs of the 27th ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW 2024).  The conference will take place in November 2024 in Costa Rica, and will bring together top researchers and practitioners to explore the technical, social, material, and theoretical challenges of designing technology to support collaborative work and life activities.

Dr. Farzan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems, and serves as the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for the School of Computing and Information. She earned her PhD in the Intelligent Systems Program here at Pitt. Dr. Lopez is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria in Chile.
